No Peanut Allergy Here!

Good Saturday morning, all!

We are still all basking in the Sassybear Family reunion energy, but have quickly settled into our routine. After a very busy work week, I was thrilled to shut down the work laptop yesterday afternoon and join Jeffrey and Harvey for a relaxing evening. I made a lovely chicken and shrimp paella (low-calorie and gluten-free, of course.) Jeffrey made a round of martinis, and we all gathered on the couch to watch “Red White and Royal Blue,” then more of Season 2 of “Heartstopper.” It was a lovely and entertaining evening.

This morning, we enjoyed coffee, breakfast and cartoons, then got ourselves showered, shaved, and dressed to make ourselves presentable to run errands.

Tonight, we plan on watching the new Peanuts animated film “One-of-a-kind Marcie.” Can’t wait!

Stay safe, all! And have a Sassy day!

  1. What a shame you were obligated to get dressed.

I had no idea Marcie got her own movie. As a lesbian icon I suppose there would be a market for her feature film.

  2. I agree with you about the slapstick quality of the cake fiasco early in the R, W, & RB movie. The book was better, but watching the sexy American in the movie was quite enjoyable.

    • it took me a while to let go of the fact that no people in their positions could behave the way they did (in their public appearances.) Once I let go of it all and embraced the complete lack of reality, I was able to just enjoy it as a story about two people falling in love. I also didn’t realize it was a comedy going in so that caught me off guard. But I really didn’t wind up liking it at the end.

  3. We just watched Red White and Royal Blue, too! And last night we watched some more of season two of Heartstopper (the Paris trip episodes). Great minds think alike! 🙂
