The BFJ loved helping me assemble my first Lego kit, and visited a Lego store in the City where he discovered a Winnie The Pooh Lego set, complete with Tigger (which he loves and collects.) So, for his birthday, I got him the Lego set, and during my last visit to CT a couple weeks ago, we assembled it together:

Once again, I was flabbergasted by the detail and we loved putting it together.
I wonder what kit will appeal to us next?
I love Winnie the Pooh! I had a Tigger messenger bag that I often wish I had kept track of. It’s somewhere I am sure or may have gotten lost when my parents retired and moved south (and into our vacation home). Perhaps I will look there to see if it is still around.

That sounds like something the BFJ would really like, too.

I wonder if they make custom sets, you could send them scans of the kids and get back a build your own kit.

That would be cool. I know you can submit ideas and designs to LEGO for consideration. I don’t know if they’ll do custom kits but I’m looking into it.

That looks amazing, and so much fun too. I might have to get a Lego kit after I move, assuming I have a place to display it.

I can’t recommend it enough. It’s so much fun.

Fascinating! Lego was abstract coloured bricks when I had some.
Now they look specific to one thing and one thing only.

You can still get classic building blocks and use your own imagination to build whatever you want. These are just specialty kits to try to get people who don’t have the same level of creativity to buy LEGOS (and clearly it worked on me.)

Oh, wow! Love the colors. I think my nephew would love this. So adorable!

I’m pretty sure it’s only for adults *smirk*

Oh, that is an excellent plan. You can keep your hobbies at BFJ’s house, and then you won’t have to build an extension on yours. Jeffrey will be so pleased.
I like the tree.

You’ve caught onto my sly plan….nothing gets by you, does it?

I’ve never been a big fan of the Disney version of Winnie the Pooh, but that’s only because I’m so old I read the original books long before Disney animated them. My vision of the characters is therefore shaped by E.H. Shephard and so they look and behave quite differently.

I would definitely not recommend this kit for you then. 😛

Yes, same with me! The original stories and poems by A.A. Milne, the line drawings by Shephard, are near and dear to my heart.

That looks so fun! I love how Lego does the trees.
I have long identified as an Eeyore type. Tigger is fascinating, but way too energetic and outgoing for poor old me to hang around with for long. Great guy, though.

I’m an amalgam of Pooh and Eeyore.
