Bookmobile

I enjoyed listening to “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay” in the car, to and from work for the last couple weeks, so much that I decided to continue listening to audio books to entertain myself on the long, daily commute. To that end, I bought a new audio book:

I love Julia Sweeney. I discovered her on Saturday Night Live many years ago, then re-discovered her again when a friend sent me a CD of her audio autobiographical monologue “Letting Go of God” sharing her journey to atheism, which I loved (being an out and proud atheist myself.)

I’m enjoying this current book, but it’s a slight departure from her more humorous work. Regardless, I love her voice and I find myself sitting in the driveway when I get home just to hear more of her narration.

It’s good stuff, folks.
