One of my regular day time snacks (which usually passes for my lunch) is a banana. I love bananas, but couldn’t eat them for the longest time (my guys hated them) but that seems to have passed, so now I eat them eagerly and happily. They’re the perfect snack for hone, in car, or at work. They don’t need to be refrigerated, and the peels can be discarded. How much easier could it get?
I also love slicing a banana up and adding it to my Saturday morning cereal and milk while watching cartoons.
Of course, my FAVORITE way to eat a banana is in a banana split, but those are few and far between these days.
Are you a fana-banana?
LOL
Hello, fellow banana-lover. I have one daily. Apparently, they’re rich in potassium and cheap. What’s not to like?

Hey, I’m rich in potassium
and cheap, too! I guess it’s true: you are what you eat! (So I’m a nut, a dick and an ass, too!)

Oh, dear. For a moment there, my mind went there. And yes, we ARE what we eat!

I eat a banana every day. I prefer it sliced in Special K and milk. Mostly, I have one sliced in a sandwich with Miracle Whip on one side and peanut butter on the other. And, I have a glass of milk with it. This is often my breakfast. I love to eat one like you have–naked. The banana naked, not me.
I do hate that little thing sticking out of the banana, though, black, hard and pointy, like the one on the banana in the picture.

I tolerate bananas, but I don’t seek them out and don’t really love them. Given how much of a cheapskate I am this is surprising: they are one of the the cheapest fruits around.
How picky are you about ripeness?

I’m a huge fanabanana! And now that I’ve seen that word, I’ll think of myself exactly that way forever. On their own. With my breakfast cereal — with yogurt, orange slices, almonds, dried cranberries and yogurt. Peanut butter and banana sandwiches with a layer of Fritos between the two. And, yes, my favorite: The banana split.

Bananas are not only good and heathy they are fun. I can’t pick up a banana without my dog getting all excited since he gets bits of it while I get the most. And a banana split…it has been so long since I had one I now have to go out and find a place that makes them.

And, best of all, you can make banana bread out of the overripe ones!

I don’t eat them every day, but every Monday when I go grocery shopping I’ll throw a bunch in the basket to snack on during the work week. Sadly, even with a proper hanger they don’t make it past Friday.

Yes, indeed I am a banana-freak! Aaron has introduced me to a banana/raisin bread sandwich and I am addicted! 🙂 Naked hugs!

I prefer them just when they turn yellow. And of course their close cousin the plantain aka platanos.
