I couldn’t let today go by without proper acknowledgement. Tonight’s celebration libation is a Pomegranate Martini (well, mine is. Jeffrey is sticking with his classic gin martini.)
- 1 oz vodka (I used Absolute)
- 1 oz pomegranate juice (I used Poms)
- ½ oz Cointreau
- ½ oz lemon juice (I used fresh squeezed)
- ½ oz simple syrup
Shake over ice until the shaker is too cold to hold, then poor into a proper martini glass, and garnish with a slice of lemon if you’re feeling floofy. Then enjoy.

Sassybear, why can’t you just move to Savannah and make me those cocktails? Is that too big a request to ask?

Thanks for advising me of what this important day is! I shall have a White Russian immediately!
Oh dear. You weren’t feeling floofy?
Have you considered moving to Savannah and making Neil cocktails? Maybe in 1150 days or so?
(I hope you’re managing okay.)
Oops. Neal, not Neil. Sorry. I suppose you could serve Neil cocktails too.
Damn. I missed the day and the parade. You make the best sounding martinis.
A Friday toast to feeling floofy. Cheers!
Have you considered bartending after another 1149 days?
I’m glad to see you’re celebrating!
Please consider moving to Liverpool. We need your cocktails. Julie xx
I had one in your honor. Then I had one in my honor.
