Hallo-weeeee!

I decided to get into the spirit of things by wearing this at work for a little while this morning. I always enjoy sporting one of my fabulous Spo shirts, especially when I can work it into a pseudo-costume.

All play and no work makes Sassy a happy bear!

As soon as I got home, I got to work getting the candy out and open and ready for disbursing.

We may have overdone it a bit,
but better safe than sorry!

I started out wearing this for handing out treats (Thanks, Glen!) but, throughout the night, I transformed into a Kangaroo, Then a Giraffe. However, it was WAY warmer out than anticipated so I only lasted a couple minutes in each outfit before I got overheated and had to change back yo my awesome Snoopy shirt!

And I completely forgot to get pictures of me in either outfit. DOH!

Two of our friends joined us at the house for Sushi and a movie, and we had a lovely evening. Jeffrey took point on dispensing treats, and really enjoyed himself interacting with the kids (and he didn’t mind interacting with the neighborhood DILFS, too much, either, if I’m being honest.)

We got far fewer trick-or-treaters than years past… maybe fewer than 50. (We are used to getting about 200 kids.) So my office will inherit 3 of the 4 bags of candy we bought.

All-in-all, it was a fun day.

Stay safe, everyone!

  1. We didn’t get a single trick-or-treater. Not one. According to Tim, there were none seen in all of our subdivision. Very weird. Now we have dozens of snack-packs of Cheezits, and even more dozens of packs of crackers (loaded Ritz, Austin, Lance, etc). We got those to give out instead of candy this year, and now we have to figure out what to do with a couple cubic feet of snacks.

  2. I love the spo shirt/costume. The Snoopy shirt is so appropriate for Halloween. What is a DILFS? Never mind. I figured it out.

  3. You are giving away 75% of the stash? Boy they had better be grateful.

You look very dashing in that Spo-shirt, but that should come as no surprise.

  4. I love your giraffe! We never lived anywhere that got so many trick or treaters. We had a record high of 5 yesterday, because I told our neighbors I’d have some candy if they wanted to bring their 2 daughters here. The arrived with 3 friends. Very exciting.

  5. That Spo-shirt works perfectly with the giraffe headband! We don’t dress up while handing out candy apart from wearing witch’s hats. We got 62 trick-or-treaters last night, up from our usual 45 or so. We ran out of treats at 7:30 and had to shut it down.

  6. I’m glad to see you had fun. I didn’t expect any visitors, but there were a few times when people opened the gate in front of our place but didn’t come up the stairs to the front porch. Maybe if the pandemic is “over” next year, I’ll decorate and give out candy?
