My Saturday summed up in a text to a friend

“We went to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Exit 9 Wine & Liquor, and At Home. Got hanging plants, outdoor carpet, grass seed, and a fire pit. (Still need a round patio table and chairs for cookouts.) Stopped at Mom’s on the way home so Jim [the BFJ] could say “Hi”. Then we set up the patio and fire pit, seeded the lawn before it rained, and then we all collapsed into a 2 hour nap. It was a lovely day. Now we’re having enchiladas and Margaritas and playing Scattegories.”

  3. Now that sounds like a lovely day/ I LOVE the fire pit idea. I’m considering doing the same in my Dad’s backyard, but I don’t know if the HOA allows that kind of stuff.
