This morning, when using spell and grammar check in Microsoft word, I got this warning:
And what was that oh-so-offensive word?
Apparently, the abbreviation for “effective” is an offensive word, especially when used between the name of an organization and a date.
Who knew?
(And for those readers whom I’ve offended by posting this word, I apologize.)
HA HA HA HA!! So glad Microsoft is concerned about our delicate sensibilities.

LOL. I cannot with our extreme PC culture. If I want to write a sassy note, do you think Word would suggest offensive language? 😉

Personally I do not mind, but in many organizations mentioning the Electronic Frontier Foundation can raise hackles. Do you perchance work for an authoritarian government or a technology company slurping up people’s private information?

I knew, but I’m shocked Microsoft did. I put eff in a lot of files at work…

Did you tell Word to ‘eff-off”? I titled a blog post adult toys, and that was flagged by google as offensive, until I insisted they go read the post, about cameras, and legos.
