Lights, Camera, Action: X-mas 2021 Living Room

I’m a terrible photographer (unlike several other talented bloggers) but I did the best I could. This is the living room from the front door, then counter clockwise (for the most part.) It’s a very small room, but we’ve done our best to make the most of the space and decorations.

I love the jingle bells that sound every time the door opens. The corner shelf is our collection of “whatnot” figurines. Note the Santa beard masks hanging from our key rack. (I’ll do a post of just holiday themed masks when I’m done showing off the house.)
This is the opposite corner from the first one…the Grinch statue is new this year.
Our bay window display we created last year and repeated this year.
Our mantle with a miniature Santa’s sleigh display and the reindeer picture we had made.
The Living room view from the dining room.
The far wall viewed from the front of the house.
The Living Room viewed from the front door.
The far mantle wall (door goes to the garage.)
The kitty corner view from the kitchen.
The view from the garage door.
Another angle from the garage door.

We stuck with coppers, golds, and whites (with the slightest touch of red and light blue) to work with the earth-tone colors of our house. Next: the Dining Room.

  1. I love it! Your home looks so well put together. Mine is a mishmash of uncoordinated mess. I don’t even know if I could make my home look nice, much less this fabulous.

I think my favorite piece of holiday décor is the two piece giraffe in a Santa hat that’s to the left of your front door. It’s hard to choose, there are so many lovely pieces. No, the giraffe comes in second place after the rainbow reindeer. Definitely.

  2. Gorgeous and so inviting!!!! You may get me to do mine a bit earlier now.

You definitely do way more than me. I still don’t have anything up yet. I have my first party to go to this weekend, and this guy has up more than anyone I have ever seen. I have no idea how he even cleans…I mean 8 trees is a lot!!!! No square inch of his place is safe.

    • Thank you. That’s quite a compliment coming from you.

We only have 5.5 decorated trees (normally 6.5 but I didn’t do the giraffe tree in the guest room this year – the .5 is a mini snowman tree in our kitchen) and 2 Non-decorated ones (both rainbow)

  3. Repeat after me. “I am not a terrible photographer”.

I love these photos and what you’ve done with the place. Your home looks exactly like a place you’d spend a winter holiday season in.
