Despite my efforts to distract, meditate, compartmentalize, hope, laugh, sing, appreciate…anything to stop from succumbing to the darkness of the country and state of the world, I just can’t seem to find the peace and serenity this little lady found today:
I guess I’ll have to live vicariously.

Animals seem to have that switch-off button which, if we have one at all, must be somewhere cunningly concealed. I do hope little Rita Mae can tell you where yours is located.
