Just watched the Season 5 finale of Schitt’s Creek, which includes scenes from a local production of Cabaret, in which one of the main characters, Stevie ( Emily Hampshire) stars as Sally Bowles. Earlier in the day, Stevie finds out her best friend is engaged, and it has her feeling left behind and wondering when it’ll be her turn. Fueled with these emotions, she gives this powerful performance, which caught me off guard and left me with tear streaked cheeks.
