A literal comfort: I never had an electric blanket until about 10 years ago. Now, as nights grow colder, it’d be unthinkable to be without one – though I suppose if there’s someone there to warm you it may be less important.

Ditto! When we’re away in a hotel, I always look for an episode of friends to comfort me into sleep. If I’m feeling anxious or upset, I put friends on and it feels comfortable, safe and relaxing.
