I’ve been a fan of Julia Sweeney since her days on SNL many years ago.
I rediscovered her, years after she left the show, when a friend sent me one of her audiobooks on CD, “Letting Go of God”, a narration of her journey from practicing Catholic to Atheism, which I loved.
Recently, I started listening to audiobooks on my drive to and from work, and immediately bought the 3 Julia Sweeney narrations available on iTunes.
I’ve finished listening to the first two (“If it’s not one thing…” and “God Said Ha!”) and loved them both. I’ve just started listening to the third one, “Letting go of God” which will be my second time, and loving it just as much as the first time.
I will be sad when I’ve finished the third book, because I love listening to Julia. She has a great way of telling stories and her narration is at times laugh inducing and at times heart breaking. I hope to discover other authors who entertain me as much.
