My coworkers know of my love for giraffes (and superheroes) and so I teased them about not getting any cards, gifts or cake for World Giraffe Day. 

I spoke too soon. 

Shortly after I got home, there was a surprise knock on my front door: it was my Mom, standing there with a rice crispie cake in the shape of a giraffe.
