Today is World Giraffe Day. What else could I wear but my Spo Giraffe Shirt? Also, I accessorised with my giraffe earrings:
World Giraffe Day is an annual event initiated by the GCF (Giraffe Conservation Foundation) to celebrate the longest-necked animal on the longest day or night (depending on which hemisphere you live!) of the year – June 21st – every year!
With only 100,000 giraffe remaining in the wild, WGD is a worldwide celebration of these amazing and much loved animals, to raise support, create awareness and shed light on the challenges giraffe face in the wild.
Zoos, schools, NGOs, governments, institutions, companies and conservation organisations around the world host events on June 21st every year to raise awareness and support for giraffe in the wild.
Yay, giraffe!
don’t YOU look handsome (and festive) this morning! only 100K left isn’t many. 😦
