These are the comics I dug out of back issue boxes at two different comic book stores this weekend. This is what we comic collectors would call a “sweet score.”
My favorite comics are Marvel and DC books from the 60s-80s. I have favorite characters (Green Lantern, Batgirl, Power Man, Firestorm, Spider-Woman, Ms. Marvel, and Aquaman, to name a few) but I also LOVE Team or Team-Up Books featuring 2 or more characters.
I love building complete runs of books, and eBay and on-line stores make finding most issues easy, but nothing beats digging through boxes of comics with my own hands and discovering prize issues I need. Current Series I’m working on completing entire runs for:
Batman Family
Super-Team Family
Brave and the Bold (Batman Team-Ups)
Defenders
Justice League of America (First Series)
Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes
Power Man (and Iron Fist)
Green Lantern (Second Series with Hal Jordan)
I also picked up a full run of Blue Beetle this weekend, as well as a near complete run (14 out of 17 issues) of Super-Villain Team-Up.

I have issues, but they’re digital. The biggest issue I have is my Kindle only has so much space for my Comixology app!

I’ve don’t a few digital series, but I just don’t get the same pleasure as holding them in my hands, flipping through the pages, and sliding then into a sleeve with backboard to be pulled out and read again. 🙂
