Polished Pride

It was a beautiful spring day, so it was time to put out the pride.

Sadly, the sun was not kind to our flag last summer and the colors were even more faded then I remember.

We just couldn’t have pale pride flying from our house, so Jeffrey headed to a flag shop near his work at lunch and came home with a beautiful, vibrant, new pride flag.

Now THAT’S a flag we can be proud of!

Our rainbow trappings fade after only one season here in the hot AZ summer sunshine. Every thing becomes ‘pastel’ quickly.

I’d be perfect if you ironed it.

Beautiful! Love the new flag, so bright and vibrant!

I keep trying to get up enough nerve to fly my rainbow flag on the house during June, at least (Pride month). But where I live – a decidedly backwards area of central Virginia – think 90% spittle flecked batshit crazy Republicans and fundamentalists – I just can’t risk my house!
    Peace ❤

They’re like the ‘before’ and ‘after’ in an ad for ‘Gay Suds’ washing powder.
