Little Lies are OK, right?

I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics today to get some witchery stitchery. Sewing is yet another gay skill I didn’t get, so it’s the only way I know how to hem a curtain.
However, I couldn’t find it and was too embarrassed to ask for a “cheat” product in a store all about sewing, so I told the clerk “My Mom asked me to get her some ‘witchery stitchery.’ Do you know what that is and where I can find some?”

I was just too ashamed to admit that I wanted it for myself.

I hope my mom didn’t feel a boot in her backside for that.

  1. Joanne’s is pretty low pressure. I went in one of their competitors once looking for some drapery fabric. In a very patronizing tone the clerk suggested I might want to come back with my wife. So now I shop at Joanne’s

Dahlink, anything that involves the name witchery deserves a little white lie!

  3. Men never stop to ask for directions for themselves…. 😉
