Plant Life

We spent the evening with friends at their beautiful home in Stillwater, NY. Despite the constant drizzle, we spent about an hour in their back yard, digging up a selection of their perennials to transplant to our own yard. Once we’d filled two plastic bins, we headed inside to dry off and have drinks and a lovely dinner from the grill.

I tried to get a picture of me next to the two bins, soaking wet and covered with mud, but our fingers were so cruddy, we couldn’t work the touch screens on our iPhones.

Here’s a pic I took at the beginning while Hubby and our host were still relatively dry and free from mud:

We’re excited to plant all the perennials we got, as well as the dogwood tree that arrived in the mail today.

Woohoo!

Be sure to pamper the dogwood🙂 They are a little finicky to transplant sometimes. Cool about the transplants! It’s great to have plant-connections from friends and loved ones, isn’t it?

I don’t see any of those “funny leaf plants” in there! (wink wink) YAYZ for recycling greenery!
