I was planning to have fabulous pics of all the goings on that comprised the LGBT Pride parade and events today in downtown Albany but, after a week of late nights, drinking and debauchery, I was just burned out and, much to my shock, really did not want to go anywhere today. I could not convince myself otherwise. SO, we stayed home and invited two friends over, who were also disinterested in attending the festivities this year, and we had a lovely Mimosa brunch at Breen Acres instead. I have no regrets. It was fun and relaxing and wonderful and a much needed respite from the events of the past week. There was a time when I would have dragged myself out today no matter what, but this is yet another sign that I am changing, as are my priorities. Home time has become as important as social time, if not more so.
I am sorry to disappoint those of you who showed up here today looking for a rainbow splattered post of pride gone wild and shirtless men and all kinds of things one might expect to find from a day filled with celebration and fun. As a consolation prize, here’s me trying to a do a post freshly-shaved sexy pose for the camera. You’ll have to use your imagination for the part of the photo I cropped out. If you have trouble with that, just Google a picture of Chris Meloni naked, because that’s what I WANT you to think I look like.
