>Things that make me scratch my head…

People that are outraged by the recent rash (more than usual or just more widely known in these instances?) of suicides by and harassment towards LGBT youth and point their fingers at the bullies, the teachers, the administration, the parents, the government; but don’t point the finger at the source of the hate that has infected people from all walks of life at every age level FOR CENTURIES. It all comes from the same source, people, and you KNOW what I’m talking about. Yes, every person that turns a blind eye, allows this teaching to continue, passes it on and/or supports the institutions that preach…er…I mean…teach it *Freudian Slip* are complicit in the death of these children and so many others, to one degree or another, but until we all wake up and acknowledge the wellspring of hate from which this all comes, it’s NEVER GOING TO END. There is no Santa Clause, the emperor is naked, there’s an elephant in the living room, the red pill is waiting…

Bad service in an establishment that requires returning patronage to succeed and thrive and by people who require tips to supplement their salary. I returned to a restaurant last night that I once patronized regularly and liked. I don’t ever remember having a bad experience there. We stopped going years ago because the parking lot is always full and the crowds waiting for a table were visible from the street. No thanks. Nothing is worth that mess, in my opinion. Last night, we took a chance and actually found a spot and got in and seated immediately. It was all down hill from there. Poor service, long wait for drink and meal, wait staff complained about their jobs on the floor while serving people, and the food delivered was NOTHING like the description from the menu. I was shocked at how bad the experience was. Did the service really deteriorate that much since last I was there, or have I just had enough experience now with good service to recognize poor service when I experience it? Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

*******

Lack of entries for Undie Monday. Everybody seems to want it to continue, but fewer and fewer people are contributing pics these days.

*******

My non-weight loss. No matter how many low-fat yogurts I eat, or how often I sleep in and miss the gym, I am not losing weight.

*******

My missing thrill. I seem to have lost my ability, lately, to get excited for things that once used to thrill me each and every time. Trips/vacations. Social engagements. Payday. New comic books. Taking off my pants. Going to the gym. New episodes of my favorite shows. Organizing stuff. I wonder if I’m in the throes of depression or if I’ve just acclimated to everything and require a higher level of stimulation to get excited.

*******

Hypocrisy. If you tell me what you think and believe, you’re confident and asserting your right to be heard. If I tell you what I think and believe, I’m a close minded asshole.

*******

Dishonesty. People very rarely mean what they say or say what they mean, which is very difficult for people like me who actually mean what we say and say what we mean. I guess truth and authenticity are subjective.

*******

Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern. Really?

*******

Wonder Woman in a Sandra Dee jacket. Really?

*******

Overweight people who mock other people for being overweight. (Or anyone who mocks overweight people, for that matter. Stop it.)

*******

People who can retire but don’t because they have no life outside of work and are afraid they’ll be bored. I hate them all.

*******

That’s a lot of scratching…..
