>Cravings

>

I’m home again today. Making progress. I am very happy that I’ve made it (mostly) through this block on my own without having to go to the hospital. Lots of rest, relaxation, liquids and some meds seem to have resolved what usually takes a week in the hospital on IVs under the watch of doctors, nurses and surgeons. I’m not completely out of the woods…but I’m definitely heading in the right direction. I am hoping to return to work tomorrow. All the warm and concerned messages from friends helped a bunch, as does the support and help of my husband, Jeffrey, who always helps me pull through these things.

Of course, because I’ve eaten very little over the last two and a half days and, when I did, it was just liquids, I am craving everything under the sun. Burgers, pizza, tacos, subs, chicken wings, cookies, cakes, candy, pasta, seafood, bread, etc., etc. Not that I don’t always crave this stuff, but now that craving is in overdrive. The returning appetite is a sign I’m getting better, but the cravings return way before the ability to eat any of the food does.

So, for now, I will sip my hot tea, eat my popsicles and watch bad TV and be grateful that I’m not lying in a hospital in a gaudy hospital gown and hooked up to tubes listening to my stupid IV monitor go off every half hour.

    >Glad it's going better! What flavor popsicles? And why does google want me to capitalize popsicle? Probably the same reason they want me to capitalize google. But I refuse!

    >Do take care, Wonderboy. Whenever one of my chums goes under, a darkish cloud appears to hovers over my life. But so relieved that you're well on the way to health-normality. Do keep us posted.
