What’s so funny about funny books?

They say comics are for kids. Maybe more kids should read comics if this is the message they will read:

Tony Stark (Iron Man):

“And I say I am not afraid of those who want to hurt us or scare us. I protect anyone I can. I defend anyone I can. And as a last resort I avenge those who need avenging. And I try to keep it that simple. People will terrorize and attack that which is different. That which they don’t understand. And that which they feel threatens their way of life. But they won’t win. Not while I’m around.”

-Ultimatum: Spider-Man Requiem No. 1 August 2009, Marvel Publishing, Inc. – Brian Michael Bendis, Writer

    >I should read some 'modern' comicsMine are from the 50s; and some from the 70s; the change in art work let alone the content must be fascinating.
