Merry and Magical

Our Christmas was a quiet kind of magical: Just me, Jeffrey, Harvey and Rita, spending the day together safe, warm, content and happy.

Our gifts were not extravagant…socks and underwear in fun colors, super hero toys for me, books for Jeffrey.

Our dinner was not gourmet…chicken breast, potatoes, stuffing, gravy, veggies and biscuits.

Our drinks were not fancy…Mimosas in the morning, Egg nog laced with Bailey’s in the evening, and, of course, a Cosmo nightcap.

Our entertainment was not expensive…a movie rented from Apple TV and a movie we already owned.

Nothing about our day was extraordinary to anyone else but us.

But it WAS magical, for sure!

  1. I sounds perfect to me! We did a smaller Christmas, too. Big family dinner last Saturday, and just grazing on Christmas Day. Much easier on all of us.

    Merry Christmas, Sean and Jeffrey!
    Peace <3

  2. The continued love and trust of pets (and, of course, your other half too) is an enrichment never to be taken for granted. I’ve no doubt that they contributed enormously to making your Christmas exceptionally happy, cosy and, as you say, “magical”.
